KIND is a collaborative, low-cost co-op built by families for families. Fees go toward necessities. Everything we do is volunteer-driven. Families contribute in different ways to make the community thrive. By sharing our gifts with one another, we keep costs low while building a supportive and welcoming environment.
For fall, families pay a $40 deposit and then $100 per family for one child, $25 each additional child. In addition, some classes request a small material fee which would be listed in the course catalogue.

We offer a variety of enrichment classes that change each semester. We open the discussion to the learners at the end of the year and then partner with volunteers who volunteer to lead/teach classes the following semester. We try to offer one class per age group, per period, and then one "backup" class option that fits multiple ages, so that each child has at least two choices of classes per class period.
Currently we have a Spring and Fall semester with optional non-co-op social gatherings in between. Many families also join after on co-op days for additional social time and for group outings over the summer months. We also try to plan occasional parent nights to share interest and build relationships outside of co-op among adults.
Yes, we have classes tailored for children of various age groups, ensuring everyone can participate. In Spring 2026 we had full classes in all age groups including teens.
Absolutely! Parents are required to stay at co-op for the entirety of the day and every family contributes to the group in some way whether volunteering to teach, assist, set-up, clean-up, monitor hallways or serve behind the scenes. This is the basis of our group, community involvement and community building.
Sign ups for Fall 2026 will open in the Summer. The best way to stay in the loop for registration is to fill out the contact form or be added to the email update list.
